Susie's galoshes
Make splishes and sploshes
And slooshes and sloshes,
As Susie steps slowly
Along in the slush.
They stamp and they tramp
On the ice and concrete,
They get stuck in the muck and the mud;
But Susie likes much best to hear
The slippery slush
As it slooshes and sloshes,
And splishes and sploshes,
All round her galoshes!
Susie's galoshes
Make splishes and sploshes
And slooshes and sloshes,
As Susie steps slowly
Along in the slush.
They stamp and they tramp
On the ice and concrete,
They get stuck in the muck and the mud;
But Susie likes much best to hear
The slippery slush
As it slooshes and sloshes,
And splishes and sploshes,
All round her galoshes!

ReplyDeleteMy third grade teacher read us this poem. To this day I have remembered it and wanted to find it. Let's see that's 56 years!!
ReplyDeleteI remember this poem from first grade in 1955. I loved it. Another one at that same time,
ReplyDelete"Oh Do You Know the Muffin Man".
This was my poem I recited in from of the class 3rd grade 1960.
